An accessible, on-demand mode of transportation that allows customers to request and schedule a ride within designated service areas using a smartphone app or telephone number. Microtransit services are provided by several transit operators in towns throughout the state.

Private bus operators like Greyhound and Peter Pan provide intercity, regional, and national bus services in Connecticut. Connecticut also offers a comprehensive park-and-ride system that services most transit agencies, allowing travelers convenient bus access.

CTrides offers a one-time, trial bus pass that gives Connecticut residents a low-risk way to try public transit and experience the state’s bus network firsthand.
To qualify for a trial pass, please make sure you meet the following criteria:

New to the bus: This program is for Connecticut residents who have not previously used bus service in the state.

Traveling to work: Passes are intended for trips to and from your place of employment.

Employment verification: You will be asked to provide proof of employment.

One per household: To help as many people as possible, trial passes are limited to one per household.
